Kate McEwan, Bristol based Reflexologist

About Kate

Kate trained in the art of Reflexology in the Sirius School of Reflexology in Llandrindod Wells, and became a fully qualified member of the Association of Reflexologists in 2003.

In addition to the classic Reflexology, she has attended postgraduate workshops on fertility, maternity / pregnancy reflexology to advanced levels of reflexology in pregnancy. Recently she qualified to teach Baby and Toddler Reflexology to parents, and runs workshops on this subject in the local area.

Between 2009 and 2011 Kate set-up and coordinated a project to provide low cost Reflexology and Acupuncture for women with severe and enduring mental health problems. The project finished due to a lack of funding, but Kate has continued the work within her private practice.

In her 20 years as a foot reflexology practitioner, Kate has worked with a huge variety of clients, with all kinds of health issues, especially working with fertility and pregnancy problems.

Qualifications

In 2014 Kate qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner at Stonebridge College in Bude.

Kate moved to Bristol in 2014. She has a private clinic at her home in Southmead.

On 13th September “A Single Step” by Kate McEwan was published. It is an introduction to the subjects of Reflexology and Foot Health.

It covers subjects as diverse as “How Reflexology can help treat migraines” and “How to treat a verruca yourself”.

Recently much of Kate’s work has been based around anxiety and children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. In 2020 she set up the Potential Project to track and record the information she was finding from working with these children. This project is still ongoing.
